Sector Experience
Martin Baldwin brings an extraordinary breadth and remarkable depth of experience with over thirty years working within various frameworks such as: Research & Development; Technical Sales; Business Administration, Development and Management; and the Third Sector. Working extensively in the UK and Europe but as far afield as Sri Lanka and India and especially over the past ten years in Central and South America, much of this has been self starting and entrepreneurial in nature.
Managing the Unexpected
Having worked in a wide range of business and third sector situations he is acquainted with an extremely diverse range of working practices and situations, including multi-lingual interactions. Some of these have been in the context of cross cultural conflict zones: having survived violent attack; being kidnapped; and negotiating with tribal and cultural leaders in hostile situations. Nothing comes as a surprise and he is well accustomed to dealing with, and managing, the unexpected. Martin Baldwin has worked successfully in peacemaking and bringing divergent philosophies, practices and people groups to a place of cooperation and working partnership.
Martin Baldwin has provided training sessions in mentoring to support Bath Spa University's recently launched Industry Mentors Programme. Our business mentors have benefitted from Martin's conscientious preparation, level of detail and passionate delivery.
